Semantik web merupakan "teknologi" yang dapat membuat mesin membaca makna dari sebuah data di internet. Untuk dapat melakukan hal tersebut, diperlukan teknologi seperti Resource Description Framework (RDF) dan Web Ontology Language (OWL).
